Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 sequel to Crackdown will not be released until July 6, 2010 in North America rather than in the first half of the year as the company previously stated. Crackdown 2 is currently being developed by Ruffian Games which was founded by members of Realtime Worlds. Realtime Worlds you’ll remember, if you know your history, was founded by David Jones, formerly of DMA Design who developed Lemmings and Grand Theft Auto and eventually became Rockstar North.
The game is also scheduled for release on July 8 for Asia and Australia, and July 9 for the UK and Europe.
