Project Trico Revealed!
Ever since rumblings of it surfaced from behind the closed doors of TGS, this game had been my most anticipated game on the Playstation 3. Finally, two weeks before, E3 it shows itself. And how magnificent does it look. Project Trico’s first trailer shows us the next evolution in the series. Although the game’s storylines have been sparsely related, the shared themes have been interwoven into both. A theme, of friendship *queue Airbud theme music.*
In the first game, ICO, you and your AI controlled partner Yorda explored a haunting castle filled with the subserviant souls of an evil queen bent on trapping you both forever. In the next game, Shadow of the Colossus, you and your faithful ride and companion Agro tackle the most intimidating bosses featured in video gaming to revive the soul of your lost love. In this one we see a young boy with an unlikely ally. What looks to be a young gryphon who has a more friendly disposition than the stone creatures you encountered in the 2nd game, yet it doesn’t share the same scale as the larger beasts. But, perhaps that could change given the duration of the game. All I can say is I’m very much interested in new details that I hope will be shown at E3, or at the latest TGS.
