Almost a year ago we went on the warpath with Chris Redfield and his partner Sheva Alomar to combat the most-malicious Umbrella Corporation, as detailed in our review dealing with Inhospitable Tenants. Capcom takes us back to Africa on March 9^th in North America and March 12^th in Europe (for both the PS3 and XBOX 360) with Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. It will be composed of two new playable episodes along with the original campaign mode and reunites Chris with his STARS’ Bravo Team members, Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burton in the aptly titled ‘Mercenaries Reunion’.

The episodes will be in DLC form and included in the retail disc of RE5: Gold Edition. They comprise of ‘Lost in Nightmares’ where Jill and Chris explore the Spencer Mansion (as mentioned to in the game) and ‘ Desperate Escape’ in which Josh Stone (primarily a minor character) and Jill Valentine flee from ‘Dodge’, a Tricell facility packed with your usual majinis.

This is where a Resident Evil 5 fan gets delirious with joy; Excella Gionne and Josh Stone also join the Mercenaries. Yes there’s more! Chris and Sheva’s wardrobe’s gets an update; both characters receive 2 new costumes respectively.

Unfortunately there has been no information on a PC release.
